We pretty much know how shows work, right? You make a pilot, you wait for approval, it gets green-lit, then you whip up episodes, and BAM, you got yourself a cartoon. Some good (Adventure Time), some bad (Johnny Test), some incredibly atrocious, some making you question the mind of those that approved the garbage. (Problem Solverz)
Then there are shows that don't BECOME shows. These pilots could, or could not have been, a great viewing product.
Decent animation, good voice acting, an average plot-line supported by a good script.
And it never went through.
This is to discuss the things we miss out on, or things we were better off not airing.

As soon as I saw the thread, I knew it was gonna be Constant Payne. =P God damn execs thinking that scene with the two buildings was gonna offend people...
Anyway, I might as well link Larry & Steve. And yes, the voices ARE familiar, because this was originally what Family Guy was meant to be.
...and honestly, I think slapstick like this with great art and animation is way funnier than what we got. =P
It was originally aired in the What A Cartoon segments. If you remember those, you probably figured out that they were basically a ton of pilot episodes strung together into a show. Tons of those were pretty awesome.

Stuff and things
Oh God, you're right.
That's a heck of a lot better than Family Guy. And that Plastic Man looks awesome, a shame it never got out. But still, he is in Brave and the Bold, which is a good thing, as you said.

Yep. Same actor, and exact same character, with the same tricks and stuff. He's too good to just throw away. But then again, Brave and the Bold is the greatest miracle ever in the history of cartoons. Being a show specially made for kids, and at the same time, being a show where EVERYTHING is 100% fanservice of the greatest, completely shitnutty moments every single person who ever opened a DC comic book ever wanted to see animated. Not only that, they've gotten away with gruesome deaths, a Neil Patrick Harris musical that beats the crap anything Joss Whedon shat out previously and SPACE GHOST.
Okay, time to subject you guys to horrors of the like you have never seen before.

Constant Payne looks fantastic! It really sucks the scene was ever so conveniently similar to 9/11. We really missed out on something special there D: As for Plastic Man, the art reminds me a lot of Ren and Stimpy, which is why I'd love for the show to be green lit. Good news is they're gonna make more Plastic Man shorts for some sort of DC Comics block coming to CN soon. Here's to hoping there are no radical changes to the shows style and sense of humor. I just loved the dam part XD And dang it, I WANT MORE MODIFYERS T-T
Speaking of pilots that shall never see the light of day, this show's absence shall haunt me for the rest of my life...
